The point is, as a Governor certain things are expected of you. When you are elected into office, you take an oath. You have a list of responsibilities and although you might not agree with who the president is, that doesn't mean you can blow your job off regardless of optics.

So I guess she should sit in her office instead of lobbying against the harmful tariffs which will directly effect the Auto industry here. She should watch soap operas & eat bonbons, not fight to save unions which he's trying to tear apart. We all have bosses we don't like but she has a job to do.

People, stop freaking out that Gov. Whitmer met with Trump. That's her job. Does it mean she's kissing the ring? Absolutely not. She also met with him his first term. Most Governors do this.

It's a Governors job to meet with the president. Regardless of the side they are on
