...and the positive impact of his music continues to ripple out across dancefloors every weekend, the sound of his tunes making life momentarily just that little bit better. It’s a beautiful legacy.

Eamon Downes AKA Liquid passed away this weekend and I dearly hope that his family and friends will, sometime, be able to take some solace from the knowledge that he brought untold joy and euphoria to countless dancers over the last 35 years...

I contentedly watched as my wife, Rehana, and their Uni-mates crew, as one, put their hands in the air and whooped and cheered the moment those unforgettable piano chords dropped, just as they did, just as we all did, when we first heard it back in 1991, and just like we’ve all done ever since.

The wedding party was most excellent and we all had a lovely time wishing the very lovely happy couple the very very best. Late in the evening, the DJ pulled out a handful of rave classics, one of which was Liquid's ‘Sweet Harmony’
