The housewife and neighbor develop this toxic relationship with one another, where the housewife often takes advantage of her neighbor's kindness and loneliness in order to get away with her killing sprees.

Second picture is her neighbor, who is the only victim she lets go of because she grew a fondness for her. Her neighbor tends to disassociate a lot, so she ends up letting go of this "little incident of theirs" -- in her own words.
