The National Guard is still patrolling DC, carrying handguns & long rifles, patrolling vibrant community spaces in packs to intimidate residents, especially Black residents, of the city.

Keep that in mind as you see the videos of them handing out pizza & coffee in MN.

Additional context: A former president who shaped the current deportation machine and signed IIRAIRA, and another former president who first employed Trump's White House Border Czar and emboldened ICE, deporting more than every president before him combined, are telling you to “stand up” to ICE.

You can't just skip around, commenting without historical context or acknowledging the struggles in the world around you.

It's wild to see the present neglected in real time!

We have an extreme political education drought in the USA.

It's clear that people in the US sincerely believe that the military and other state-sanctioned forces are not like the rest. There are a number of deadly rude awakenings, past, present, and future, to shatter that fantasy. The state will not be protecting you from the state.

Moments like this and the response they get should lead us to question if many around us actually believe fascism is here and despotic rule is expanding. If you do believe as much, know what hierarchy and orders will mean for all these forces that people hope will save them.

As many as 1500 detainees at the Dilley ICE camp have erupted in protest.

Lawyers were kicked out amid chants of: "Let us out! libertad!!"

Detainees say ~80% are rebelling, motivated by the news from Minneapolis, the general strike, and the imprisonment of little Liam.

There’s absolutely nothing to debate.

Once you understand that you're dealing with murderous liars, you stop entertaining what they say as possibly credible and legitimate. The fight against them is about stopping them from terrorizing and killing by any means, not winning debates about your reality versus theirs.

The police also kill with impunity on a weekly basis. ICE is benefiting from what’s already an established state violence norm in the USA.

Someone just got murdered and they’re still in the streets. None of that “not our fight” nonsense. These are people who get it and aren’t backing down in the name of selfish cowardice.

“Untrained” offers legitimacy. It’s saying they’d be fine if they were better equipped, professionalized killers with same agenda.

Whether people mean to or not, at this point it’s bordering on collusion because you can’t be calling for a force like this to get more validation. Unfortunately, policing in the USA has made doing as much the norm.

Billionaires. Trillionaire. Multimillionaires. And people crowdfunding for blankets so their infants don’t freeze to death, for meds to stay alive, for food and shelter.

Unlivable.

Trump Has Made ICE the Largest Law Enforcement Agency in the Country With Congress-approved funding, ICE detention is expected to triple in size, mirroring the scale of Japanese internment.

After Congress allocated an additional $170 billion for immigration enforcement in July, ICE became the largest law enforcement agency in the country, with a bigger budget than the Bureau of Prisons, FBI, and most militaries in the world.

Patty O'Keefe, who was violently arrested while monitoring ICE activity, says one agent told her, "You guys got to stop obstructing us. That's why that lesbian bitch is dead," referring to Renee Good.
