I have to recommend @brennanlafaro.bsky.social THE DENIZENS, a really entertaining and well-written book. Like most books, I went into it blind only knowing Brennan wrote it and it did the job! Scary, heartfelt, and action-packed, THE DENIZENS takes a horror trope and makes it fresh. Get it!

Last week I finished NOOSE by @brennanlafaro.bsky.social and loved it. A western horror mashup with characters that moved me. I just started reading his new novel, THE DENIZENS, to prepare for our event at Once Upon a Bookstore in Fall River, MA, in two weeks and it’s also really good.
I joined the pack in @gregfgifune.bsky.social‘s PACK ANIMALS, a werewolf story that takes place over the course of a night in a terrible winter storm. There’s a scene at the end between old friends that’s so tender that it ramps the horrors that have happened to that point (& afterward) up to 11.
I’m a little behind on posts about other people’s books… I finished @joe-hill.bsky.social‘s KING SORROW at 11:59 PM on New Year’s Eve. What an excellent novel! I think I sensed that Hill had a lot of fun writing this one. Very well done! #books #horrorbooks
