I think it is a mistake to act under the belief that because something works for Trump, it will work for you, too.
And that's not even counting the usual MSM predisposition to judge Dems a lot more harshly than Reps.
But all that said, I do agree with your last sentence, in and of itself.
I don't watch it, but I do care about it, a bit, b/c it still has a pretty noticeable effect on many people.

Up to you whether you want to check out anything she has done in the past twelve years, but if you don't want to, I'd encourage you not to let those old impressions be the sole basis of your opinion of her. People change, people grow.

2/2 cannot forget, say, a stupid line from a stupid commercial from decades ago, but you can't remember some things you really wish you could, so you don't have to keep looking them up.
I don't know. Certainly that's true most of the time. But there *are* times when being told something once sticks with a kid for life. I could easily name a couple handfuls of them. And the weird thing is, most of them were not profound, either at the time, or in retrospect.
