No worries. It really doesnt have to be and once youve drawn it enough you'll have a natural instinct of whats missing. I find much more relaxing to draw than characters or landscapes. So its all about experience ✌️
You give me too much credit <3 As a vfx artist you get often asked for very abstract things. But they mostly of the time they ground themselves in reality. I couldnt really cover it in comments well but the book elemental magic is a great learning tool for concepting effects
