What an incredibly un-nuanced take!

Of course I think about Evergreen—for many different reasons. It was a great place to teach. The absurd way it came apart has overshadowed the good the place did, but for Heather and me it was a tragic loss.

I actually feel hopeful for the first time in many years. And I’m a lifelong liberal Democrat. Seems like it would be valuable and interesting to figure out how we came to see inverse worlds.

Will a true diversity of views flourish here, or will this be a place where people retreat to have their existing views reinforced?
