‘I can't bear to hear Trump talk about the success of first hour of the Iran war’ | The News Agents Donald Trump claims the US ‘won’ the Iran War in just one hour of strikes – during which time 165 people were killed at a girls’ school. Will America keep buying his narrative of events?

"We know that within that first hour of war, between 140 and 160 Iranian school girls were killed by an American Tomahawk missile," says Emily Maitlis.

"Now, if that's what Trump thinks of a success, I am speechless, frankly"

So to summarise: You failed to take out the regime. You failed to destroy nuclear material. You failed to eradicate Iran's retaliatory capacity. You brought chaos to the Middle East. You killed god knows how many people. You destabilised your own economy. All for nothing, but the ego of madman.

Daily Mail Headline:

Pupils' drawings could be blasphemous under Islamic law, Labour councils tell schools - while music and dance classes may go against the teachings of Islam

Oh boy! What a headline...

Ask yourself:

"What am I being asked to believe?"

"Who am I being told to blame?"

Take a few seconds to imagine what the Daily Mail (And Telegraph, GB News and Express) WANT you to think is going on.

Let's see what's ACTUALLY happening...🧵

A large cardboard version of Van Gogh’s famous painting ‘Sunflowers’ build entirely by the children using recycled cardboard hard, paper straws and tissue. This will be painted but the photo shows it in its ‘raw’ state.

We’re taking inspiration from famous artists this week, and Yr 5 have really enjoyed creating their own homage to Van Gogh’s famous ‘Sunflowers’. This is a larger version of the project from my book Art Shaped. 😁👍

I wonder if a drone has hit Dubai Marina. Or whether it was just

Meet Mackenzie Bly (not his real name; see back cover).
I wanted to write something purely funny, but fell in love with my lead character along the way.
It's out in August, but the lovely proofs, with cover by Jim Kay, have just arrived.
Repost before tomorrow (Sun) evening, and I'll pick a winner.

Second that! So many children come to a book because of familiarity with the story, maybe because their teacher has read it to them. Great idea.

John Sweeney Writer and Broadcaster John Sweeney is a reporter, old school, and has written 12 books, his latest thriller is The Useful Idiot: "enthralling" - The Observer.

1/3 I'm writing a book about Nigel Farage for Headline.

Some of his pals are blanking me.

Is it because after I reported on the killing of a Polish man in Essex in 2016, he said that I had caused him "more misery than any other in 25 years in politics"?
