To be clear: the SAVE Act does not simply require the identification voting ALREADY requires. It demands proof of CITIZENSHIP— a birth certificate with a name that matches yours now (bye, bye, married women), or a passport— both of which are expensive and take a long time to obtain.

A photo collage that juxtaposes a couch upholstered in a chunky pinkish fabric, with a photo of Dolores Umbridge from the Harry Potter movies who is clad in a chunky pink fabric. (Fuck, as always, JK Rowling.)

The Home2Suites where I’m staying tonight decided to upholster the couch with Dolores Umbridge’s hand-me-downs.

I keep seeing people ask about the 25th Amendment.

Guys. His entire Cabinet is walking around in shoes that don’t fit because they’re scared to take them off.

The 25th is never happening.

A family of four poses for a photo in the lobby of a high-end restaurant. The two sons (in their 50s but still devilishly handsome) stand on either side of the parents (in their 80s and just the cutest), and all are smiling.

Today is my parents’ 60th wedding anniversary. Here’s a picture of us (my brother, dad, mom, and me) celebrating at dinner on Sunday.

A porcupine perched on a tree trunk that has been partially uprooted by the wind, so it’s nearly horizontal

You may need a thing about now that isn’t awful. Here. Have a porcupine in a tree that I spotted near the St Lawrence River. I talked to them for a while and told them they were cool. I hope they got the vibe.

Immediately disqualifying for the job for which he has been nominated. The 4th Amendment specifies it’s “the right of the people,” not of citizens.

We cannot allow someone who doesn’t understand the 4th Amendment to be the head of DHS.

Looks like my on-again-off-again romance with @chilis.bsky.social’s Triple Dipper is officially off for good.

Chili’s looks shady as hell in this story.

I never thought of it this way.

Though I’ve reacted over the years with car-brained indignation when confronted about saying dumb, car-brained things, I think I’m coming around.

I’m a car-brained work in progress, becoming (hopefully) less car-brained.

(Do I dare hope that this will galvanize people to vote D for self-preservation in November?)

Hakeem Jeffries won't commit to blocking additional Iran war funding The House minority leader said Democrats will "cross that bridge when we get to it" but added that President Donald Trump has so far failed to justify his "war of choice."

I don’t understand what purpose this guy serves.
