The state of audio in media for the past 15-ish years has been so bad, and only getting worse each passing year. I'm so tired of really low volume dialogue and BLASTING music & sound effects. I'm begging for some crumbs of EQ.

we could hospitalize him in hopes he temporarily gets well enough to do the dental stuff, but that would cost thousands of dollars (that we don't have) and vet says it's likely that they won't find anything & that we would spend that money for nothing. it would also be incredibly stressful for him.

Moogly needs to eat to get better, because he now has liver lipidosis from not eating enough.

We think he has a hard time eating because of something with his mouth, but vets say it's not likely.

We can't do dental imaging/surgery until he is better.

But he won't get better unless he eats...

Went to vet for follow-up. Moogly's blood tests indicate that he's getting worse. We could hospitalize him for a few days and hope that the IV and nasal feeding tube will help, but no guarantee that he won't get worse again after coming back home. We feel defeated, we don't want to lose him.

I'm not sure how to live in a world without my cat children, and I'm terrified to face that reality.

Honestly, we think Moogly's time is upon us, we're just scared to face that possibility. If we can keep him stable until Monday, we'll try one last test/treatment, but if it doesn't work, we'll have to say goodbye to him most likely. Life has been really cruel to us this year.

Talked with emergency vet, they said only thing they could do is hospitalize Moogly for a couple of days until our vet could take him in, but it would probably cost us over 5000$...

Instead we'll try to feed Moogly with a dropper until Monday and pray that it's enough.

I feel selfish for saying this, but I'm not sure how much more tests/treatments we can try for Moogly. We're broke to begin with, now with an extra 5000$ in debt over the past weeks, I don't know how much more in debt we can go; but we also don't want to give up on him. I feel like a bad parent.

No matter what we do, I feel like it's not enough, or the wrong choice. We're trying our best, doing everything we can, but Moogly is still getting worse. We're lost, and scared, but we don't want to give up on him. We just don't know what to do.

Moogly is getting worse, and our vet can only see him on Monday. We're at a point where we need to choose between keeping him at home and hoping he makes it until then, or go to an emergency vet hospital and keep him there for a few days, which would cost thousands of dollars and not fix the cause.

Update on Moogly:
Still in the dark, but despite what vet says, we're convinced something is wrong in his mouth area. Tomorrow we'll get an estimate for a CT-Scan, if that's too much we'll do a dental scan and ask the vet to really look at everything while he's under. We're not giving up on him.

One article both said that apples are great food for squirrels, but also never give apples to squirrel because it will kill them. One website mentioned feeding a person to squirrels, but to be careful of the fat content. Also, I felt like I was having a stroke reading on most of those websites.

I've been wanting to befriend the squirrels at our local park, so I looked online for what foods they prefer and which to avoid. Problem is, most articles/websites I found are clearly written by AI and mostly contradict each other, or even contradicts itself in the same article. Yay🫠

With all the stress and anguish from Moogly's health situation, I haven't had the chance or mental capacity to celebrate the fact that I was finally approved for the federal Disability Tax Credit. The extra money is going to be incredibly helpful, though currently it will go towards vet bills...
