Literally undermining their own "It's about the cost of living!" narrative.
I have always dragged my feet on a new OS, usually because a) I'm fine with the current one and b) the new one will make a change that annoys me. If this is legit, I'm sticking with 11 (or earlier) come hell or high water.
Thanks for the context!
Tome, the fact that so many people willingly voted for him in 2024 is a sign of a deep moral rot in this country.
(Notes to self that he'll have to remember to show up for stream an hour early come November)
Submitted a comment AND e-mailed my representatives.
This legit would be a banger sitcom theme song
Saw one of those misleading mobile game ads featuring pullkey puzzles but . . . what the actual fuck is going on here?
Yeah, 1300 was where I started having some significant difficulty, and mostly lost it starting at 1200.
Managed to understand this pretty well through 1400, then had a little difficulty with 1300, and my comprehension declined each century earlier
I made a noise of disgust when I saw the URL. Then when I saw Elon's name, I made the same noise but louder. (The Mark and Sam references flew over my head at the time, possibly because I didn't have sound.)
GOOD NEWS! The Panalysts is back!
Tune in next Saturday, February 14th at 10:00AM Pacific for the season 3 premier! Then, every Saturday after that for the next 11 weeks!
Can't wait that long? Too bad :P But here's a trailer to tide you over :D youtu.be/Iguw0HRhuuI
Despite the very funny first line here, we have, in fact, more info about #db2026 available on the blog now.
Today's labor demonstration against ICE was well-attended, I'm pleased to report! Also was fortunate that my contingent passed the facility *before* they deployed tear gas.
Historical Materials (the class that legit inspired my career choice)
Great Ideas in Physics
Fiction Writing (didn't go as well as I imagined)
Bavarian history in the Weimar Republic

Funny thing, I read a piece with the same title . . . 9 and a half months ago. www.liberalcurrents.com/yes-its-fasc...
Didn't Mr. Beast also wreck a racecar at some point?
I remember visiting Philadelphia in 2017, and while I had already known damn well Washington was a slave-owner, I had not known about how he literally roatated the enslaved people under him between Virginia and Pennsylvania to get around local laws *until* seeing the panels that got removed.
It was while in grad school in Boston I got to a point where I was like, "47F? Yeah that's short-sleeve shirt weather."
Important perspective from Greenland.
Would it be inhaling for the "doot-doot-doot-doot-doooo" and then the subsequent electronic donkey noises are the subsequent coughing?
I've never used ChatGPT, *period*.
Scott Adams, in addition to being horrible, long struck me as the type of person who thinks they're a lot smarter than they actually are.
Went to an anti-Trump/anti-ICE demonstration today. Not the largest demonstration I've seen, but bigger than the one I went to in November.
Maybe search the terms for solid water using the verbal or adjectival forms? (well other than the one that will likely get you a bunch of Disney posts)
Good news about the writing!
Usual time, I assume?
Happy "Time to retrain your muscle memory when writing dates!"
I will quote the last line I wrote in my latest journal entry:
"Well, onto 2026. May it prove a better year than this one did."
I will simply link to some posts I made following a brief overnight outing to the Oregon/Washington coast in September: (hope this works!) bsky.app/profile/phar...
