The highest confirmed snowfall total I've seen so far from this lake-effect snow event is 136 cm (53.5 in.) in Echo Bay, Ontario, just east of Sault Ste. Marie.

On the U.S. side, the winner so far seems to be 46 in. (117 cm) near Copenhagen, New York.

The current temperature in Fairbanks of -27F is pretty cold for a Thanksgiving, it is nowhere near as cold as Thanksgiving 1994. That day had a high of -38F and a low of -45F. @alaskawx.bsky.social
