I tried to take a photo of a grasshopper on my windshield, but now it looks like a gigantic bug destroying the town.

I love writing. I think what I hate now is DREAD that comes knowing I SHOULD be writing, and HAVE to write soon, but am NOT 😂

In which case, the new story for my brain needs to be, "You know, if you just do this pleasurable thing NOW, you don't have to experience THIS displeasure for hours."

Publisher's Marketplace announcement for "We've Been Here The Whole Time!" a satire book about Native American history written by Joey Clift and illustrated by Julie Fiveash. It comes out in October 2026!

I’ve been sitting on this news for a minute, but I wrote a book! It’s called “We’ve Been Here The Whole Time!” and it’s a very unsacred humor / satire book about all things Native America. From me, @andrewsmcmeel.bsky.social and illustrator Julie Fiveash. Buy it when it comes out in October!

if you are looking for a place to give a few bucks today please think about b.resale in Minneapolis. the shooting yesterday happened in front of their store. they are staying open as a refuge. they’ve been handing out free supplies for ICE watch for weeks.

Any authors/artists feeling weird about doing self-promotion right now: I'm actually kind of begging you to bring some of your unique creation to my timeline.

Not just as a distraction, but because art is a tool for building empathy--it's the way we learn to see the world through other eyes.

wellbutrin made me more functional day-to-day but this gift was in exchange for my ability to enjoy a caffeinated drink and that is nearly intolerable to me

rightwingers see people caring about others in their community and instead of finding that inspiring they think it’s some sort of grand conspiracy because they don’t understand what it means to care for others you don’t personally know

A tabby cat sitting in a human chair at a table with a tablecloth. It is tentatively touching a tiny pancake on a plate with its paw.

My friend served her cat a pancake this morning.

they're executing moms and nurses in the street. they're using preschoolers as bait. they're stealing people's dads and grandmas and children. they're tear gassing babies. they're staking out schools. there is no remedy but abolition. any proposal that doesn't start there is an act of violence.
