A view of an art exhibition featuring three blue plinths receding from the viewer. On the first plinth is a sculpture of a swimming fox with sails on its back, next is a sculpture of 3 blue and yellow caterpillars, and in the back is a sculpture of fish among coral. All pieces are made of coloured porcelainand are whimsical in style. An image of an art exhibition showing 3 porcelain sculptures. In the front left is a goat with a fish trail leaning against a tree. Behind it and slightly out is focus is a large mushroom covered in owl-faced deer. To the back and upper right, also out of focus, is a wall sculpture featuring three suspended ledges covered in stalactites. On the ledges there are strange wolflike creatures who are helping tiny owl spirits climb into the sky. All pieces are whimsical in nature A view of a ceramic sculpture in an exhibition. The piece is coloured porcelainand features three caterpillars who are tending to several round yellow flowers. The caterpillars have the faces of owls and are looking very curious. In the background, out of focus, is another sculpture in the shape of a multilevel mushroom. Both sculptures are on blue plinths, and the walls of the gallery are red brink with a blue central panel.

The Watchers exhibition is officially open at the Yuill Family Gallery, Medicine Hat! Big thanks to the entire Medalta staff, my fellow MAiRs, and to the Canada Council of the Arts.

An unfired porcelain owl sculpture. The piece has a 3-finned fish tail and is holding a pot atop its head.

Busy working on this fountain topper for an exciting collab with @e-tt-yyy.bsky.social and @melaniebarnett.bsky.social. The piece will be on view alongside our Yuill Gallery exhibitions, opening May 23.

An exhibition poster for a Ceramics show titled 'the Watchers'. The exhibition runs May 23 - June 12, at the Yuill Family Gallery, Medalta, Medicine Hat AB. The image depicts two ghostly owl-like creatures on mossy tree branches.

The big day is just around the corner, and the final push is on in the studio. If you'd like to meet the Watchers in person, please come check out this exhibition!

A porcelain sculpture of an imaginary play species, with a bulbous base and flower, and a number of petals at the top. A porcelain sculpture of a fictional plant. It has a cone-shaped trunk with pink leaves at its base, with three yellow bulbous branches, each of which has small blue berries on their top. On the centre yellow bulb is perced a grey forest spirit, known as a Watcher. It has an owl-like face, pointy ears, and fin-like arms. A porcelain sculpture of a fictional plant. It has a fat pear-like trunk that tapers up into 5 large drooping green leaves. At the centre of the leaves are a collection of blue berries and 2 trumpet-like white flowers. A porcelain sculpture of a fictional plant. It is reminiscent of a coral, with 2 yellow bulbs emerging from a white rock. The bulbs are textured and each feature a ring of small blue leaves and tiny pink berries.

Part of my current project is developing the broader world of my mythical creatures, the Watchers. These are some early examples of plants that make up that magical world.
