The American People Deserve the Truth About the President’s Health

In 2025 alone, President Donald Trump has undergone two hospital visits, including an unexplained MRI in October, and has been described by the White House only as being in “exceptional health.” Yet over recent weeks, Americans have witnessed troubling signs: visibly fatigued and sweating through a 60 Minutes interview, slurred and repetitive speech in video statements, and public confusion between South Africa and South America during a major address.
He has also been observed falling asleep in multiple public settings and meetings, including during a recent Oval Office policy event—episodes documented by major news outlets and repeatedly noted by attendees. While the White House has denied these reports, the pattern is visible to anyone watching.
On November 5, the president released more than thirty online posts in under three hours, some apparently recorded in dim surroundings where he read haltingly from his own remarks, at times threatening foreign nations and calling for the end of the filibuster.
These are not partisan observations—they are matters of public record. The contrast between official assurances and what citizens can plainly see has shaken public confidence. When the health of the commander-in-chief is in question, the stakes are not merely political; they are constitutional.
I urge Congress to hold public hearings and request sworn testimony from the White House physician, independent medical experts, and relevant Cabinet officials. The objective is not to stigmatize illness, but to ensure that the government of the United States remains stable, transparent, and accountable.
The American people deserve to know that our leader is fully capable of performing the duties of the presidency. Silence and secrecy serve no one—not the administration, not the country, and not democracy itself.

Hungry Americans, Golden Ballrooms: Money for Me, but not for Thee
Text SIGN PCZTRE to 50409 — As of tonight, 42 million Americans stand to lose access to food. The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program — SNAP — is about to run dry, not because the money is gone, but because Donald Trump and House Speaker Mike Johnson refuse to release it.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture is currently sitting on $6 billion in reserves that Congress specifically appropriated to prevent exactly this kind of catastrophe during a government shutdown. Those funds could keep millions of children, seniors, veterans, and working families from going hungry — today. But the administration has made a deliberate choice to hold that money hostage, using hunger as leverage in its political games.
Meanwhile, the same government that “can’t afford” to feed Americans has miraculously found $20 billion to prop up Trump ally Javier Milei in Argentina. The Treasury can wire billions overseas to reward a foreign autocrat, but it cannot release funds already allocated to feed American families.
And while this cruelty unfolds, the president is demanding $230 million from U.S. taxpayers to build a gold-plated ballroom at the White House — after bulldozing the East Wing — so he can host luxury parties that will “dwarf the existing structure.” During his Asia trip, Trump was literally crowned in gold by South Korean hosts and served gold-topped desserts. All the while, 42 million Americans at home face empty plates.
It is “money for me, but not for thee” made policy.
Speaker Johnson’s excuses ring hollow. He refuses to call the House back into regular session, refuses to negotiate an end to the shutdown, and openly admits that releasing SNAP’s emergency funds would “reduce pressure on Democrats.” In other words, he is using hunger as a bargaining chip.
The American people see through it. According to a Washington Post–ABC poll, voters now blame Trump and congressional Republicans for the shutdown by a margin of 45 to 33. Trump’s approval rating has sunk to 41 percent, with a –14 net disapproval, and recent polling shows Americans now trust Democrats more than Republicans to manage the economy.
This is not fiscal discipline. It is cruelty wrapped in corruption. The same administration that can fund palaces abroad and ballrooms at home is starving its own citizens to win a negotiation.
Congress must act:
• Compel the USDA to immediately release SNAP’s emergency reserves.
• End the shutdown and restore funding for food and healthcare programs.
• Investigate the misuse of federal funds for personal and political gain.
Feed your people. End this cruelty. Restore decency and accountability to our government.

Pardoned Capitol rioter charged with threatening to kill Hakeem Jeffries at NYC event this week
A pardoned Capitol rioter was arrested last weekend for allegedly threatening to kill the top House Democrat.
This is the asymmetry in our politics and media. If this was the other way around, Biden had pardoned someone then charged with trying to kill Trump, it would be the biggest story in America and every Republican commentator, congressman, news outlet, would be screaming about it in unison.

No Kings, No War on the People — Congress Must Rein In Abuses of Power
Text SIGN PMXUIK to 50409 — On this No Kings Day, Americans remind our leaders that this nation rejected monarchy. Yet recent actions from the White House look less like constitutional government and more like rule by decree.
Abroad: Since September, the U.S. military has carried out multiple lethal strikes on suspected drug-smuggling vessels in the Caribbean. At least the high-20s have been killed, and survivors from the latest strike are being held aboard a U.S. Navy ship. Members of Congress and legal experts are demanding clarity on the legal authority, the civilian toll, and whether the War Powers Resolution is being followed. The head of U.S. Southern Command has announced an early retirement amid a growing buildup near Venezuela — another signal that congressional oversight is urgently needed.
On January 20, 2025, the President signed an executive order authorizing the designation of certain cartels as terrorist organizations, later implemented by the State Department and Treasury. However, the use of military force still requires congressional consent and transparency.
At home: Federal operations in Chicago have drawn court scrutiny after warrantless arrests and property damage during a large-scale immigration raid. A federal judge has ordered body cameras and stricter protocols. Lower courts blocked deployment of the National Guard, and the administration has now appealed to the Supreme Court to allow it. Meanwhile, the White House has declared “Antifa” a domestic terrorist organization and issued a directive on “domestic terrorism,” despite experts noting there is no legal framework for such designations. Labeling dissent as terrorism is incompatible with American democracy.
No Kings means:
• No president wages war — abroad or at home — without the people’s consent through Congress.
• No president turns the U.S. military into a domestic police force.
• No president redefines protest as “terrorism.”
I urge you to act now:
• Hold hearings on the legal basis for the Caribbean strikes, the intelligence used to justify them, and civilian harm assessments.
• Reaffirm the limits of the War Powers Resolution and Posse Comitatus Act.
• Investigate domestic federal deployments and ensure accountability for unlawful raids and detentions.
• Demand a legal explanation for labeling political movements as “terrorist organizations.”
On this No Kings Day, please defend the Constitution and make clear: in America, no one is above the law.

Denounce and Prevent Turning American Cities into Military “Training Grounds”
Text SIGN PLHMCX to 50409 — I write to demand immediate action: Congress must declare, in clear and binding law, that the U.S. military shall not be used as a domestic police force or a political weapon.
In a recent speech the President openly described using our own cities as practice fields for the armed forces — saying he would “use some of these dangerous cities as training grounds for our military.” Those words are chilling. They describe turning American neighborhoods into test sites for military tactics and treating American citizens as adversaries. That is incompatible with the Constitution and the rule of law.
The Posse Comitatus Act exists for a reason: our military defends the nation from foreign threats, it does not patrol our streets. The Insurrection Act is a narrow, extraordinary authority — not a carte blanche for the executive branch to deploy troops for political advantage. Congress must stop any attempt to normalize the use of federal forces against peaceful protestors, political opponents, or ordinary citizens exercising their rights.
Take these concrete steps now:
• Pass legislation that unmistakably prohibits the routine use of federal military forces for domestic law enforcement and requires explicit congressional authorization for any invocation of the Insurrection Act.
• Require immediate public notice to Congress, judicial review, and detailed after-action reports whenever federal forces are mobilized domestically.
• Create statutory constraints and sunset provisions on any domestic deployment, and establish accountability mechanisms for any unlawful orders.
This is not partisan politics — it is a defense of the Constitution and of every American’s civil liberties. If Congress fails to act, the precedent will be set: future leaders could treat our streets as training grounds and our fellow citizens as enemies. That precedent will outlive any single presidency.
Stand up now. Reaffirm civilian control of the military. Make it law: America is not a battlefield and our service members will not be used to intimidate or suppress the American people.

ICE Brutality and Deaths Demand Oversight
Text SIGN PBQPNS to 50409 — Sixteen people have already died in ICE custody this year. Families are demanding answers, yet ICE continues to hide behind excuses. On top of the deaths, we now see open brutality: video shows an ICE officer in New York shoving a mother to the ground in front of her children, while she pleaded for her detained husband. DHS admitted the conduct was “unacceptable” and pulled the officer from duty. But this isn’t just one bad actor — it’s part of a pattern.
When Americans see detainees dying of neglect and mothers shoved in public, it makes our country look weak, chaotic, and cruel. We should be setting an example of strength and justice, not state violence. If a county sheriff lost sixteen inmates in nine months, or if deputies were caught shoving women in front of children, there would be outrage and investigations. ICE must be held to the same standard.
Congress must act now: demand independent reviews of every death, enforce detention standards, and require transparency in cases of abuse. Lives and America’s reputation are at stake. The American people expect competence and integrity, not cover-ups and brutality.
