Am 1. August 1944 erhob sich die polnische Heimatarmee in #Warschau – inmitten des von Nazi-Deutschland besetzten Polens – zu einem verzweifelten #Aufstand. Rund 200.000 Menschen starben – vor allem durch systematische Massenmorde an Zivilisten durch die deutschen Besatzer.
