I switched from Unity to Godot a while back and I've never looked back, best decision I ever made in terms of engines.
On top of that Brackeys recently switched to Godot so maybe check out those tutorials as they are a great starting point.
In a way it's similar to season 1 though, very, very slow start - I'm still interested in seeing how season 2 pans out
