Oh I’m happy you enjoyed the penguins but wish you guys had maybe rented a car and driven there so you didn’t have to rush things and could have explored the island more. It’s okay two weeks isn’t long but I hope you enjoyed what you’ve got planned and don’t end up totally exhausted 😊

Oh did you go to the beaches though separate from the penguin parade there were or are multiplied beaches there along with a huge swan lake and bird reserve ? If you went via a rented car you could have driven the island taken your time etc ?

I have no clue where you went but if they are say highly recommended then they are tourist traps

A young mountain ash (I think) in an anthropomorphic "pose". There is very little light on this summer morning which makes the dark green leaves look practically black against the overwhelming greyness of the sky behind.

I think this tree looks vaguely anthropomorphic with outstretched arms. It's a good example of how grey it gets here as this is actually a colour photo believe it or not!

A small brown and white streaked bird is perched sideways on a thin, pale reed stem, gripping it with one foot. The bird has a fluffy, rounded body, a sharp beak, and dark eyes.
