a pair of White Throated Sparrows warming up in the early morning sun yesterday. #BirdOfTheDay #Borbs
beautiful backyard borbs..nice captures, Jon!
Well, did it make it through the night or is Spencer on the ceiling?π€£
it may be delayed, but this little White Throated Sparrow stood in the morning sun on top of its temporary iglooshrub along the edge. The snow started to drop off and exposed part of the shrub!
ready..so ready!
a light snowfall compared to other places that were in its path, but more than usual for here!
Cardinals, White Throated Sparrows, Juncos, Sparrows, House Finches, and this week including today Yellow-Rumped Warblers. The Blue Jays weren't around today. The Red Winged Blackbirds and their Grackle friends were around, but minimal, the storm (ice) 2wks ago there were dozens of each.
Mr.Tropical, an inch is too much! Snowverit..I am!π€£
for me it is! It certainly motivates me to work on my plan to move to a warm climate with beautiful rises or sets!
π€£π€£
π ..
yep..not rushing. Luckily, I don't need to be anywhere for a few days!
I am confident and will send a pic of soggy green grass!π€£
@johnmurrell.bsky.social will always be in my thoughts with them!
the ground will be visible Wednesday..48 and snow to rain!
I loved the lines... the little things GP! I will not overdue it...bit by bit and stop to appreciate the feathered foragers!
π€£π€£ Yes, it will!
the bushes topped with a branch made a Fred Flintstone Bedrock style igloo hotel for the Juncos..and out front. It will be a process. I played deck today!π€£
π€£.. I am not a fan..a dusting, a couple of inches..that is it!
20 inches of fun, brief power loss 3x, trees are all in tact shrubs are hurting with the weight. I hope they don't snap under pressure. I am seriously considering deck removal..it is the entire length of the house. The driveway is easier to clear!
and the blip, has me bleeping! A little bit of color through the window early in the day. If you open you can see the levels of nasty π€£
When decks aren't so enjoyable, I am officially Snowverit!
#neversnow
the health of the birds..absolutely.
Hey Pekka..no escaping this beauty.π€£π³
π€£
Thanks..as long as the trees and power stay in tact, the snow can be 3ft.. the warmer temps after will help make it a blip blizzard. I hope!π€£
you too! So over it.. the good thing is that the temps will rise after and melt will be quick. I won't bother with snow removal.π The areas had bird flu victims this past week, I hope minimal and it is over.
The snow and ice was minimal on the 22nd and this female Belted Kingfisher caught a big one. Hopefully, she is feasting right now in prep for the expected "blizzard." Stay safe! #BirdOfTheDay #BirdsInTheirElement
Hey P.. π
they were sliding and playing and the entertainment was welcomed!
