Art...it's exhausting and energizing endeavor. Believe me, after installing my show—uneasyWONDER—at Lane Community College's Roger Hall Gallery, I slept well....
I'd envisioned that the work would tell a story but, as I'd never actually seen it as a whole, it was a bit of a gamble that paid off!

When I arrived at PMRCAA, just outside of Sisters, I wasn’t greeted by the trope of a postcard-perfect Western landscape, but rather by acrid air and smoke-draped mountains — a study in desaturated hues and a reminder of the increasing impact of climate change on the land and us.

It's all about the patterns — the repeated motifs gleaned from nature or emplyed to organize our human/social experiences and context. bioDIVERSITY Quartet (Boundaries, Desire & Need, Underfoot, Remnants), now on view at Lane Community College's Roger all Gallery through March 20.

uneasyWONDER is installed at Lane Community College's Roger Hall Gallery! Gratitude to Gallery Director, Daniel Bataller, Gallery Assistant, Emily Cramer and team member, Jorden. The show looks amazing and is up until March 20.

"bioDIVERSITY - Underfoot" will be part of four - mixed media, layered and cut out papers exhibited in my upcoming show at Lane Community College's Roger Hall Gallery, opening February 24.
The painted papers are extrapolated from my personal, on-site response to the land and patterns observed.

When I arrived for a month-long residency at the Pine Meadow Ranch, I wasn’t greeted by the trope of a postcard-perfect Western landscape, but rather by acrid air and smoke-draped mountains — a study in desaturated hues and a reminder of the increasing impact of climate change on the land and us.

In tandem with the visually-driven work, my writing practice is represented by three blog posts produced while in residence at Pine Meadow, as well as the opening scene from my feature screenplay inspired by the land and people of Central Oregon, “Living In A Postcard.”

The work exhibited reflects my life-long creative engagement with the land and features new work informed by my 2024 artist residency at the Pine Meadow Ranch and Center for Art & Agriculture, Sisters, OR.

I am pleased to share my upcoming solo exhibition, “uneasyWONDER,” February 24-March 20, 2025 in the Roger Hall Gallery, Lane Community College, Eugene, OR. Reception is on Thursday, February 27, 2-5 p.m. with an artist talk at 3 p.m. The exhibition and events are free and open to the public.
