Wishing you a very merry Cyber Monday! Whatever your A/S/L, may you and your closest webring enjoy a day of mulling Jolt Cola and singing Front Line Assembly carols, free from trolls, lag, and power-tripping channel ops.
01.12.2025 15:27 โ ๐ 17 ๐ 5 ๐ฌ 3 ๐ 1I'm currently doing an online course and it forces you to use an AI chatbot for some exercises. As someone who loves to learn, and enjoys the friction of learning, and *knows* when something is not sticking in my brain - this AI tool is so transparently trash as a learning tool.
30.11.2025 10:59 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0It's called learning because you have to put it in ur brain and keep it there.

A large, long underground brick chamber, with many foreboding dark doorways leading into it. Grooves are cut into the gently sloping floor to guide the flow of water. A man in black stands in the middle distance.
A dutch angle of a vaulted space, with a gantry running over a tunnel entrance. A ladder to daylight is visible. Policemen point flashlights down the tunnel towards the viewer, while a running man enters the room from a higher doorway.
A long brick tunnel with light streaming in from the far end. A solitary figure stands silhouetted against the entrance.
A vaulted brick chamber with water flowing through the lower half. A man dashes across gantries suspended from the ceiling.
watched The Third Man for research. I think all movies should dedicate this much screen time to sewer infrastructure.
27.11.2025 09:10 โ ๐ 389 ๐ 85 ๐ฌ 14 ๐ 9if NPC dialogue in a game is unimportant or boring, one of two things is happening:
1. someone did a bad job writing it
2. you didn't appreciate it, for whatever reason

24.11.2025 23:03 โ ๐ 12 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Credits for Brent Porter (3D art lead) and Catherine Menabde (2D art lead) are shown here. There's a lengthy description of what they did, with a pastiche of various Demonschool characters underneath, messing around with a computer.
We did something different with the credits for Demonschool. We used this format: name, title, lengthy description of what they did. Often you see credits in games where you don't know what the credited developer was actually responsible for. We wanted to give people proper, actual credit.
24.11.2025 22:23 โ ๐ 6219 ๐ 1875 ๐ฌ 119 ๐ 158At 16 I wrote a letter to Official Playstation Magazine explaining why the next GTA should be set in Northern Ireland. They published a five-word acknowledgment of the idea in a tiny box-out. I was not satisfied.
23.11.2025 11:32 โ ๐ 8 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Alright! Let's actually talk about this waterfall thing. It is an amazing showcase of many things that I adore from late 90s/early 2000s graphics.
I am replicating this in Blender through mere observation, so some things might not be fully accurate to the mind-boggling effects of the PS1.
1. Little Lion from Skin Deep - a ruthless mob boss who secretly cares for you.
2. Owl from Carimara - horrible flesheater and not an owl at all.
3. Everyone you meet in Psycho Patrol R - what the fuck but in a good way.
4. Hazel from South of Midnight - just a decent, funny person

I've worked across many genres - from grim fantasy RTS to sci-fi action adventure to cutesy roguelike. I am basically a one-size-fits-all pair of socks, but for words.

For a fraction of the cost, I can make placeholders for you that are guaranteed to slip through to final build and far beyond.

One of the few enlightening posts to come out of the "nag line" discourse (aside from the term "nag line" itself which i do think is kinda funny)
