When a company says their staff have a combined 100 years of experience. That really doesn't mean hot to me. My kids have a combined 18 years of experience, it doesn't mean that I trust them to vote or drive a car.

A Girl Called Gale A bedtime story about a Wind who can't stop moving and, with no destination of her own, finds purpose in helping others reach theirs.

If you've been waiting, don't wait anymore.

Unless you're sitting at a red light, then wait and put down your phone.🚦

FYI, Not my project but, 6 days left and almost 80% funded. This is only covering art and startup costs for a high quality children's book.

Harvested raisins and figs today. Not bad for 2 grape vines and 1 fig tree all only 3-4 years old.

I think sometimes I don't want to admit when I use personal experiences as inspiration. Some others are very open about it.

I like how Marcus Kahle McCann creates beautiful stories from his.

Do you have an author that you admire in that way?

Just finished the book For a Handful of Feathers, by Guy de la Valdene. He has kind of a unique style, that makes me feel like I'm sitting around a fire pit in his backyard drinking beer with him while he tells me everything he knows about Bob White quail and habitat restoration.

Coming soon: A Girl Called Gale A bedtime story about a Wind who can't stop moving and, with no destination of her own, finds purpose in helping others reach theirs.

Here is a beautiful children's book that is really something I think should take off. If you missed out on his first book, don't miss out on this one. Kahle McCann's first book (The boy who was fire) is still one of my kids favorites. Still in pre-launch.

So random Friday morning thought:

If we live in a simulation, and we create a simulation so perfect, it exactly models our reality.

How would we know that the simulation we "created" is not actually a view or bridge into the reality that created the simulation we live in?

Right? Do people actually say, oh sure I'll give you my credit card so you can auto charge me?

Maybe I'm weird. But if I'm reading the news on Google news and I click on an article that has any type of paywall, or sign up to read the article, I immediately leave.

Like, I don't care if there is advertising but don't make me do something extra to read your article.

You will never convince me that Creep by Radiohead wasn't written by someone with a little bit of imposter syndrome. I know the official story, but it really takes a new meaning through that lens.

After looking at the pictures more it didn't look quite right as a western banded gecko. The correct identification is a Mediterranean House Gecko.

Found this little western banded gecko under a brick. I couldn't leave it in place because it would have been dangerous, so I made a new little home for it 20 feet away. It wouldn't leave my hand until its new rock house was in the right place.

2 loaves of bread.

2 loaves of bread.

Sourdough Saturday turned into sourdough Sunday. I wanted to see the difference between convection vs Dutch Oven. The top loaf cooked 10 minutes faster in the convection, vs the Dutch oven on the bottom loaf.

clam chowder in a bread bowl.

My wife got clam chowder at the store the other day, so I made homemade bread bowls last sourdough saturday to go with it. Finally had a night at home to eat it. So good.

Who had genetically engineered mammoth mouse hybridon their 2025 bingo card?

Also how long until these start getting sold as pets to find the mammoth research?

Yeah that does happen actually. They have a specific locator call that they use when they can't find ones they hear but can't see. Like the ones in the eggs chirping.
