As a nation, who we are is how we're born. A nation that is born of violence, genocide, racism, and bigotry is not one that can be rehabilitated. The US has been sick since its inception. It is time to fulfill the intention of the most noble of the American values: that government should be remade.

The thing about revolution is that it doesn't necessarily have to be violent. It doesn't even have to be obvious until it's done-- witness what got us into this mess in the US. We suffered a quiet coup d'état over the last ten years.

The root of the problem-- transphobia, misogyny, racism-- is that the people in power belong to a self-selected minority, and they believe that by making opposition harder, that will convince people to adopt their positions. They have no argument beyond "agree with me or pay the price".

If you need to go to court to prove that you have a right, then you don't have that right, even if the court says you do.

Proactively protecting our rights as people is the whole point of a government. If our governments can't even do that, then our governments must be changed.

the thing that trans people ask of the world is so tiny, really. just to be able to exist as the person they are, without the rest of us being weird or cruel about it. it's a deep shame on our society that we are unable to deliver on so small a thing.

Question for the WOTC staff: I'm tinkering with the idea of a one-off custom commander that can remove Finality counters from creatures. Thinking UB color identity, tapping plus life cost to do it with a repeat option for more life. Does this break any safety valves?
