These were my fav bits from that comic. We never finished the story because we got beat in round 2. Not disappointed though! It was Petar and Mags who beat us - both powerhouses! This was real fun!

Merrik is in handcuffs and his face is bruised, Avery is MAD about being knocked down my him (ALSO his cigarette is snapped) Merrik points at the TV - they've just hopped back in time, Merrik is going to try and prove he's innocent of the crime (I think it was a murder) Avery has arrested him for. The two talk it through: Avery: Get your goddamn hands off-- Merrik: Look. Avery: But... this is yesterdays broadcast? And the time now is Merrik: 3:30 pm! Time to go witness a murder! Avery: Surely you mean 'prevent a murder'? Merrik: Yes. Prevent a murder. That's what I said.

Late rint he story, Merrik has a cut on his arm. Avery sees and is convinced he really is the murderer. Merrik slides his ripped sleeve up to hide the cut, suspiciously.

One of the best things about Entervoid for me was to collab with other artists. I got to work with GPS device in the Tag Team Tournament a few years ago now, and used Merrik alongside his detective character, Avery Mann. I REALLY liked their dynamic together.

The Sharp Rateca Puter. Up top, left to right: a collapsable TV/radio antenna, brightness and contrast dials, a giant speaker, a smaller speaker, and input for the tapedeck, with the play counters that were more common on the day. Face, left to right: A 4.5 inch CRT (behind a plastic guard), VHF/UHF and radio dials, channel and band selectors (TV/COMP, FM, Shortwave, and Middlewave), the "RATECA PUTER' logo on the battery gauge, AFC switch, mode selector, tape deck controls, audio controls for balance, bass, treble, and volume, and a mollyguard to prevent dials and switches from being mashed (the mollyguard being a signature of Sharp's boomboxes of the time). Face, low: the collapsable carrying handle that doubles as a stand; computer power button; slide-out chiclet keyboard based on Sharp calculators of the day, with number pad; an LED clock, clock controls, alarm controls. Right side: mic jacks, earphone jacks in two different sizes, beat cut switch, fan exhaust, DC and AC power plugs, and a printer port (!). Help I'm trapped in an alt text factory

In the 70s, Sharp had a series of "Latte case" boomboxes; as the line went on, more and more got put into it, like TVs. One of the last in the line was the RatecaPuter - a latte-case boombox with a 2KB computer that could run SHARP Basic programs off of the built in tape deck.

Kevin (a rabbit) unplugs his computer, and looks into the wire. Pulling the wire over his head, he disappears into the network and travels along the wire. Surprised, Kevin pulls himself out of the wire. In the last panel, Kell asks: "How's the new server?" Kevin states: "It seems to have more bandwidth."

Kevin and Kell was one of the first webcomics, but before that, it was a print comic for the BBS/ISP industry magazine Boardwatch. (Source.)

This art features 100 bees of various colors and shapes. These bees are designed in a cartoonish style, based on real species. The common name or species is written below the animals. Some bees are moving leaves, scraping plant hair, or sticking out their tongues. Some male bees have hairy faces and unusually shaped legs. There are also baby bees that have just hatched from their petal nests. Cute and colorful atmosphere. There are over 20,000 species of bees, so I only depicted a very small fraction of them!

Some inking WIPs from the backlog! This was how I made the comic pages from earlier in the week with Trixie and Harlow for Entervoid.

Trixie: 'I was created for a single purpose' (Fun tidbit, for those who read these alt texts, she WASN'T, it's just until now that's what she believed ;) ) 'There was only one thing that mattered, and I let him down.' He turns her off, and she reboots some time later with a new view out into the world. Merrik: Okay, don't be mad. You've been turned off for about two months. Before you say anything, just let me show you. He holds her new hand in front of her face, and the camera flips, so now we can see her, in her new body. looking at her own hand.

On this page, Trixie starts moving her hand, new eyes wide with wonder. Merrik: So, do you like it? Trixie: I.... I love me! Oh Merrik, thank you. She leans over and hugs him. Trixie: I'm sorry! I'm just so happy! (Side note: she apologises here because she knows he won't like being hugged so much.) Merrik: That's ok. So, now you have a body, what do you want to do? Trixie: Well, first I think I'll need to go and buy some clothes. Adding another extra note just for those who read or listen to the alt texts: It was really important to me that the first thing she do with her body be an act of love like this, and having her express joy wonder excitement and love in her first moments in a real body made me so happy. A few people reached out to me after I shared this comic the first time with some personal stories which meant a lot to me. While it wasn't intended as any kind of allegory for transitioning, knowing people had found comfort or inspiration in it was so moving. Even though the drawings are wonky, this comic keeps a special place in my heart.
