Yes, our feet were absolutely freezing wading into the stream to capture this, but I’d do it again in a heartbeat. One of Cornwall’s hidden treasures. 😍

Tucked away in the Cornish woodland, this magical waterfall feels like stepping into another world. The walk here is rugged and wild, but when you arrive it’s pure serenity, mossy rocks, rushing water, and an energy that feels almost spiritual. 💧🌿

Bobby the Robin is loving his new life in the garden 💚
He spends his days exploring, & hanging out with the house sparrows.
Whenever I step outside, he flies straight to me, always hopeful for a few mealworms.
Watching him grow in confidence and settle into the wild has been such a joy 💛

The first photo was taken on the day Bobby came into my care, tiny, scruffy, and just out of the nest.

The second photo shows the moment I released him back to the wild healthy and ready to take on the world

This Seven-spot Ladybird (Coccinella septempunctata) is just emerging into adult life... soft, spotty, and not quite ready to fly.
Nature’s magic, right before our eyes. ✨🌿

A striking Gasteruption jaculator, a parasitic wasp with serious style!
It lays its eggs into the nests of solitary bees, using that long ovipositor to reach deep inside. The larva then feeds on the bee larva and its food store, a fascinating, if slightly gruesome, part of nature’s balance.

🧡 Red squirrel cuteness from Brownsea Island! 🐿️
I could watch these little acrobats for hours. From nibbling snacks to darting up tree trunks. They’re absolute naturals in front of the camera. Their ear tufts and fluffy tails make them unmistakably charming.

Same here... Couldn't believe my luck when it landed amongst the fluff and kindly sat long enough for me to get some photos 😂

While exploring Brownsea Island, I came across this beautiful Speckled Wood butterfly resting amongst a cloud of grass seed fluff. The soft textures and dappled light created the most magical little woodland moment, one that felt almost dreamlike. 🦋

Meet the master of disguise – the crab spider!

Crab spiders don’t spin webs to catch prey, they lie in wait, blending in with their surroundings until the perfect moment strikes. This one was a real joy to photograph, especially with such intricate textures in both the spider and the flower.

Just when you thought spring couldn’t get any cuter… along come the baby mandarins! 🧡
Should be called Satsumas small, round, and ridiculously sweet 😂🍊
Spotted these fluffballs exploring the daisies and couldn’t resist capturing the moment 💛

Four frames, one incredible subject, a dragonfly in full flight.
Did you know dragonflies control each of their four wings independently? It gives them the agility of a helicopter, but also makes them extremely hard to photograph mid-air.
