When robots like Cross - officially known as "accords" - conclude their imprinting process and are fitted into their own unique frames, they're given a specific classification based upon their certifications. These certifications are required for accords to pursue their desired career path, somewhat analogous to degrees and certifications for humans. Each accord certification falls into a number of existing categories; because Cross herself is certified in communication and management, she's classified as a "navigator-type" accord - ones who specialize in information management & processing. Though there exist a number of accord classifications, most are generally labeled as navigator-types or anchor-types - a category reserved for accords certified in movement, mechanics & machine operations. Anchor-type accords require a somewhat more involved imprinting process, since their frames necessitate power output tailored towards physical labor. Though there's something of a stereotype that anchor-type accords gravitate towards construction jobs, they tend to gravitate towards a range of different professions. Accord certifications aren't fixed, either; it's possible to obtain multiple certifications, giving them the opportunity to pivot career paths later in life if so desired. Though this sounds fairly standard, one would be surprised at how many people assume accords are permanently locked into one route in life. The muscles wrapping down around her arms bulge out as she flexes them, proudly showing her physical assets off. Compared to ordinary hotels, The Gatherway Hotel recruits new hires just a touch differently. Rather than posting traditional notices for new hires, the hotel manager personally handles recruitment herself. Some staff were scouted during their stay within the outer branches of the Gatherway, while some were personally scouted outside business operations. Though Ophelia herself technically falls into the latter category, her recruitment was said to be a special case. Though she herself has kept quiet about her past life, the manager has openly paraded the fact she plucked Ophelia from the shadows herself - even if just to see Ophelia bury her flushed cheeks beneath her cap. Despite their differing cultures and means of recruitment, the Gatherway staff prides themselves somewhat on their camaraderie and closeness. Though the melting pot of cultures and ideas has often caused friction between workers - as Ophelia herself can attest to - they're typically able to shutter their differences to coexist. It probably helps somewhat that much of the staff still hasn't been properly acquainted. Some within the SnS division recount the time a serpintine coworker expressed a desire to fashion small gifts for all her colleagues, per a tradition among her people; said colleagues politely informed her even a second pair of arms wouldn't be enough to cover everyone. They compromised and held a celebration instead. Unbeknownst to the Gatherway's eclectic cast of workers, they likely wouldn't stand on common ground were it not for the "private training" the manager frequently pulls them into. I think it's worth giving it a shot on the collection, though! It's not as exploration-focused as the other entries, but it has some of the best moment-to-moment action & boss fights outta them.
