Maintenance: "you have to choose between a hot balcony or a hot apartment." Ah yes, luv 2 pay for a sizable part of my apartment I can't use for a good chunk of the year.

The AC unit is located in a nook that's covered on 5 out of 6 sides. We have jury-rigged a loose tarp that redirects the heat away from our balcony vs. having it blow back on it, basically rendering the balcony unusable if it's running on a hot day (more heated air -> unit, repeat forever)

AC broke last night (bad cap). Called the emergency maintenance line because it was over 80 degrees with unusual humidity for the area, so opening windows and doors helped minimally (only hit mid-high 70s early this am).

So. Many. Whistles.

I believe that. I have some theories about why the Rogan format has been successful as new media and I think some of it is talking head fatigue. Politics exit is either lobbyist or cable news show host or frequent contributor. I routinely watch local + international news vs. US 24 hour cycle stuff.

I confess my non-work executive function is not great for a number of reasons but when I sit down and try to "make time" my schedule looks like 4 hours of sleep and will quickly become everyone's problem.

Deciding I need to read more consistently among other things to generally get myself sorted.

Also reminded it's hard to square work 40+ hours a week, do baseline human needs functions, care for others, and leave room for self-improvement, hobbies, etc.

The hill I keep throwing myself on is the negative impact of politician "Stan"-ization. They're candidates for office or elected officials, not your weird parasocial celeb imagined bff. No one is doing this for a city council candidate. Deeply weird stuff that's gotten worse.
