In the year 3021, the city of New York has been submerged by the rising Ocean. Two companies, KuronoCorp and Standard Stasis, have worked to create Platform 25, a buoyant city much more advanced than any platform previously constructed. After the platform's construction, a long legal battle began between the two companies over who would get the patent for "floating cities called 'Platform X', where 'X' is a number corresponding to the order in which the platforms were constructed". This is the story of that battle.

It's a little silly, also I'm really happy with the break marker (genuinely not sure what those are called) I made.

Starting work on a small dystopian sci-fi project, don't wanna share too many deets now but just very excited to have something small to write because i have been DREADING the inevitable writing of the big project's first chapter. Will keep y'all posted!

You journey ashore in the evening twilight. The calm waters ebb and flow on the beach, a mere remnant of the rapids which carried you here. You look west, following a short sprint of grass towards a dense line of wood which climbs into the distant mountains. The pines eventually fail to continue scaling the mountains, whose jagged peaks stretch into the heavens as though clawing away from the setting sun beneath them.

I've been trying to use more descriptive language when running dnd. Here's a moment I was particularly proud of near the end of the first act of the campaign I'm running (paraphrased and slightly edited to flow better than when I made it up on the spot).
