Recently also got completely ghosted after constant begging on the progress only to later on see them post sketches and other drawings. Made a callout post but to not use sadly. Hard pill to swallow, considering the amount of time and money you provide for the commission.

Caramel flavored popcorn and Sprite/7up/Fanta large. Always a go to for a sweet time!

That's relatable to some extent. You get so exhausted and down mentally it can take up to a full day to feel better. Glad you can rest up feeling better!

However, that just makes me wish they'd have a proper structure in the whole commissioning department. Plan your time and priorities. Don't let yourself fall into a hole from which you can barely crawl out from later on. That way a commissioner won't start assuming that they're being scammed-

Even worse when after asking about it (which in return they reassure that its being worked on) they post a few weeks later about emergency commissions.

I don't dare wish to come off as eager or pressure an artist. I can't imagine the things they might be going through behind the screen.

How do people feel when their already payed commission gets delayed for quite a while?

I personally don't mind it. I can wait for half a year if I have a good reason.

But it does make me question my choice of commissioning when said artist doesn't provide with updates.
