Klamath River steelhead fishing. A gorgeous canyon where four dams were demolished to improve water quality and allow fish passage. Caught a few half- pounders and had the obligatory big one that got away.

Ow, I can imagine! 😭 I bet leash injuries are common. Francis would break or chew through those when we first got him. Switched to coated steel cable but that caused some family injuries. Now use softer tubular webbing and he is a good boy. 🙂

We were in a state park that requires leashes. He was on a 30 foot lead and kept tangling. It was a brief wading session with a nice walk back to my truck.

They do look similar and both have the biotoxin tetrodotoxin.
