Calibration of expectations and AI Auditing are one of the most important angles to work on as long as AI is massively deployed. These chatbots should be designed, rather than just to provide an answer, to communicate how contextually relevant are, and how connected to reality, so *we* get to choose

Visiting Italy reminded me how much I miss daily farmers market with fresh produce. I missed chatting with the vendor, smelling the freshness of vegetables, and having them recognize me. Why does it work there and not in the US? Can we start normalizing daily affordable farmers market in the US?

With more people turning to LLMs over search engines, this could shape who gets opportunities—and who doesn’t.

After analyzing 6 top LLMs across 12 U.S. states, we found:
➡️ Different wording, same distribution—LLMs largely suggest the same types of places.
➡️ Recommendations skew toward wealthier, highly educated areas, leaving out towns that could benefit from more visibility.

The growing inequality in the U.S. is not sustainable and a continued dismissal of it should be concerning to all of us. AI would just be another way to distract us from the real problems and reduce accountability.

If technology is not centering healthy forms of justice, very few will have short term gains, but even they would not benefit the social structure they created (or enhanced) with the own hands, and would be destined to live with growing fear for the lives.

Erin add another quote from Franklin where she argues that “There’s no way to be secure when others are more insecure; there’s no way to reduce fear through means that make the burden on others greater.”
