White Friends, You Can't Be Woke and Silent In my travels around this country, both in person and online, I meet lots of white people who fancy themselves woke.

Too many of my white friends are still doing risk analysis, still weighing the costs of expressing their new revelations, still concerned about what they will lose by speaking out.

The reality is, the risks and consequences of silence are far greater.
