Windows updates have been lemon after lemon after lemon after lemon. It's making it easy not to look back after going kubuntu.

01.11.2025 15:43 β π 2 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0There's Creeper discourse going around with Minecraft, but I swear they pale in how bad Enderman griefing is.
You did some pretty landscaping? No you didn't, because you had the gal to be in the neighbourhood! At least creepers are avoidable if you're vigilant.
Perthshire? O that's just perfect.
Go get that hag, Fortingall Yew! We're rooting for you!
o, Halloween post.
Fun fact: spider

I just counted and there's 70 customization options, not bad for my first customizable model I think

It's rare to find a spine in tech nowadays.
I will donate in the future!

Remember that neat little bug where the comment section of the previous short lingers onto the next?
Wouldn't it be great if we did this for regular videos to?
No?

22.10.2025 07:00 β π 1342 π 280 π¬ 6 π 0o yeah, of course. I keep forgetting flatpak and snap are available on basically any modern linux os.
But this gives me all the more reason to wait it out a little longer. One day, though. For sure.
Ancient Knoppix? Then you're in for a treat. Things have improved a lot since removable linux distros were a flash in the pan in the mid 00's
I still dual boot windows, but I totally expect this will be my main partition, which I didn't expect beforehand.
Very bold, I love it, but it's a shame it's losing a lot of compatibility this way. If it were for Arch what Mint is to Ubuntu, it'd probably be my first non-Ubuntu, but now I think that'll be a bit further down the line.
It'll stay on my radar, though. Something to look forward to π
Aah, of course! Who's pick a release desktop environment on an alpha OS? /r
Arch base? but isn't KDE an immutable OS? I thought Arch being mutable was the big draw to it. What's KDE OS's philosophy?
I had an on-again off-again relationship with it as well, but finally a good implementation of Wayland is making it soooooo juicy! And Plasma just looks fantastic out of the box, but still with plenty to tweak if you want (and I did). The opposite of Gnome.
22.10.2025 02:49 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0O woah, I didn't know KDE is working on their own OS! I'll keep my eye out for it. Maybe they'll be going silver when I get more adventurous with linux than just Ubuntu. Both will take a while.
And 6.6 is impressive since 6.5 just got released today
HOW IS PLASMA 6.4 (not yet on .5) SO GOOD, I'M LOSING MY MIND!
I don't know if it's just straight up wayland, or if Plasma 6 is created by wizards, but how did they eliminate the weird wavy tears that my vertical screen had on windows if I scrolled through text?
It also looks unreasonably gorgeous
I was so silly! I only tried Kubuntu 24.04 which is stuck on Plasma 5, but Kubuntu 25.10 is on 6 already! My issue seems fixed in 6.4.5
21.10.2025 18:34 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0So when you talk out of your ass, does that mean...
21.10.2025 14:42 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0O SHIT! Guess what I'm gonna try!
21.10.2025 14:02 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 1And with X11 I get screen tearing even with vsync enabled because in edge cases (like owning an arc A750), settings are merely suggestions and we'll need to ask the stars if my settings get ignored.
20.10.2025 23:24 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Maaan, this is so ass. KDE is nearly perfect out of the box, but it has horrible glitches with Wayland's compositor and my setup.
And Gnome, is littered with small crappy design choices that just straight up eat shit, but at least it works, somewhat.
