Detail about that last point: it doesn't tell you when your account gets labeled, it tells you when it's added to a list. There is currently no tool whatsoever able to notify you when a label is applied to an account, nor a post.

Only 33% of our users use our labels to totally reduce visibility.

I agree with you, but never ever getting false positives is near impossible, especially with how AI works nowadays. We try our best to prioritize appeals, so labels don't appear for too long. Silver lining, I know.

I may help that most users don't use us to fully block or hide what we label:

In this specific case, the post was made on 11/5, and the label was applied a month later, long after the first hour of visibility, and got appealed and removed quickly.

This is unfortunately out of our hands, and this is how Bluesky's moderation system has been built. We're dependent on their infrastructure for moderation that is. I totally agree with you that the label should probably at least say "under appeal".

This sort of feedback should be sent to @bsky.app.

I'll go and manually remove you from the list. It's supposed to be in sync with the labels. You had one briefly, before it was removed after an appeal, but bluesky's pipes are just really bad lately...

No, it does not. The third party moderation system of bluesky ignores and bypasses the blocking system entirely.

There's unfortunately been a lot of hiccups since this update indeed. Try again now?

Thank you for letting us know. This update probably broke custom labelers. Hopefully it's as simple as updating our backend.

Ugh.

When you report an entire profile for one AI image, it forces us to review the entire profile's media history. Doing this causes us more work than is necessary, please report the individual post in this case.

It's on Bluesky, not us. The label was removed from our system, but they still haven't propagated the change.

The label is applied to the whole account, not this post specifically.

We're not automated. It's all done by hand, by humans.

The label was applied in February when you had a different profile picture. I have appealed and removed the label for you, and the list should synchronize itself automatically, but there can be a lag.

I have removed the labels, and we'll do an internal review with the moderators to understand how we got this one so wrong. That definitely shouldn't have happened, and I apologize sincerely.

Honestly, it made us do a double take ourselves, so there's nothing to be embarrassed about. We believe there's been photoshop work done on it on top of the original gen-AI result they got. But the base was most likely gen-AI, yes.
