Got them faders now sliding like butter! All channel and master faders replaced!

These faders wear out pretty quickly if you aren’t keeping the unit covered and doing maintenance on the unit after sets. Keep that gunk out and keep it far away from liquids and you will be just fine!

Complaints of the headphone jack only playing out one side on a Korg Kaossilator. I wonder why. That thing barely hanging! Time to replace it bc as soon as I unsoldered it it broke all apart.

You work on gear that takes a special tech. Not everyone can fix amps but they can sure destroy them. Glad they have someone like you to assist! I always admired your speciality & sticking to it. Even on your website you make it clear how you service & why it’s important to not take on everything!

How well do those caps hold up? That’s a lot of caps if they have to be replaced.

Yes happens quite often and yes sometimes I have to rebuild the fader. ALPs is definitely the go to but damn there are soo many options!

All the gunk from faders. Sheesh! Sometimes cleaning works and other times it’s just better to replace the faders. I can provide options!

1/2 Had an opportunity to talk with a repair tech who been doing it since the 70s and he said when he started he focused on one service. That was amps. He became very good that he was considered an expert/specialist. Once he mastered that he then starting adding more items.

Last minute repair for a client. He had a show on Thursday and I had his unit fixed same day Wednesday and he was happy with the results! Show was a success!

Ahh ok. Nice. I prefer Mousers as they have been very supportive with my business and I can do net terms with them which is very important for small businesses like myself. They ship really fast too! When I need something local and quick it’s usually Audio Lab of Georgia or Microcenter for me.

I have been collecting parts for awhile but there a few companies like Syntaur for example that sell replacement keys. You can sometimes get them off of eBay/Reverb. Just like how you been collecting recorder parts I do the same with keyboards bc I never know what’s going to land at the shop.
