i don't DJ, but this is true on hardware synths too.

the EP-133 has good factory samples, but little of them. i have tons of samples. why not just isolate which kind of samples i use with the TE? first plan is using chords amd leads since that's what's missing atm.

i understand it now.

option one: organize songs in groups of ten within a project. track one is patterns 1-9, track two is 10-19, etc.
option two: just write loops that all sound good together and blend away.

any other suggestions?

the indecision i keep having with the EP133 is weird. as a sampler, it may be the easiest ever. as a songwriting tool, it's different from anything else i've used before.

i can't figure how i want to arrange the songs i'm trying to write.

fuck it, factory reset on the KO. new samples direct into the sampler is the move.

i'm having a small sampler identity crises: i want to keep a separation of which samples go which sampler. i used a bunch on the KO2 that i originally had for the Tracker.

am i trippin? how do you sampler-heads decide what sound go with what instrument?

hmm. i could play my LSDJ tracks live with the KO2.

i could write a bunch of loops in LSDJ. then write other sequences on the KO and play in between the two.

better said: the KO2 needs to receive and send transport

thing is... TE needs to receive clock and transport through MIDI

day one with the KO II: my plate of crow tasted nice. it's a good instrument.

sound design is easy once you start getting the hang of the manuals.

the web tool for sample management is EASY too. my first tip for anyone is delete the sounds you won't use and keep an eye on the KB of new samples.
