really impressed by how organic the shapes are and how dynamic the lighting while still being able to clearly communicate the playable space and interactive elements. I want to play this version. Beautiful!!

A mockup of a 16-bit top-down action RPG. The player character is brandishing his sword at a small mushroom-looking critter, and a treasure chest sits on top of a nearby hill, just out of reach. I worked on this project with a couple of other devs (who have long since disappeared into the depths of the internet) circa 2012. Golden Sun and Secret of Mana were the principle inspirations for this one. A sprite of a samurai warrior in a bright turquoise and purple robe. Inspired by classic fighting games like Street Fighter II and Marvel Vs. Capcom. A recreation of a dungeon antechamber from the original Legend of Zelda in a higher resolution (16-bit) style. A mockup of a GameBoy Color-style top-down RPG. One character with bright purple hair has just spotted the player character and is about to rush over to say hello. A steampunk-looking house sits on top of a hill with a large pipe protruding from it.
