(Don't even get me started on the cinematography & and practical effects or we'll be here all night lmao, but my bestie who studied film squeezed my arm at ever beautifully executed match cut and Dutch angle aghh!!)

I left the cinema at 1:30AM with my best friend, and we talked about it the entire way home, determined to make all the art our hearts desire. I'm looking forward to anything Mark decides to make in the future, I'm rooting for him!

I haven't wanted a character to be okay at the end of a movie this bad in a long time and I'm just so proud of Mark for making me feel for Simon so quickly. Ingenuity and raw human desire to make something good, to leave something behind that matters.

Simon fucks up, he's a trapped, wounded animal, but he's CLEVER! I was so impressed by the human resourcefulness with the little information he was given. He was horrified at the radiation incident. He hates those who put him in this situation, he's killed before but doesn't LIKE hurting people!

I believe in you, the tone is so beautiful, I want to know why Gojo is being so thoughtful all of a sudden!!

Not saying anything new, but for how hopeless the setup of Iron Lung is, I found it weirdly life-affirming? In lots of horror media the characters get oddly accepting of death/do dumb shit/go in guns blazing and it's so refreshing & agonising to have your doomed protagonist want to live so badly!!
