Here are the drawings for the Backer’s Choice stretch goal for my enamel pin campaign on Backerkit.The top voted theme was Kitsune with Foxfire. I will be finishing the final artwork this weekend. As with the Wyvern Wind and Phoenix Fire collections, there will be two color variations for this set.

Dreamvale Studios were my cross-collab partners for Pintopia. The hoard keeper plush is looking so good! I love the little dragon tongue zipper pull and that the zipper is the teeth!

I’m working on getting the backer’s choice designs together, and they should be posted before the end of the campaign. It’s a little hectic to do it this way, but it was good to get feedback. Left to my own devices I would have done unicorn + foliage and gryphon + ice as the next two collections!

The campaign has been successful in funding the production of these pins, and backers unlocked two stretch goal collections that were a Backer’s Choice vote.

The votes are in and the next two collections for this campaign will be Kitsune + Foxfire and Eastern Dragon + Water.

I decided to have the molds do double-duty and make some jewelry from them as well! I did this during the Isopod colony campaign and got pretty handy around a jump ring!

Now I just export a spreadsheet from backerkit and upload it directly to Pirateship to purchase and print postage all in one go. Watching the thermal printer spit out all the labels, one after another leaves me feeling like I’m a wizard. 2/2

The fulfillment for this campaign is going so much easier than when I helped run the Flight Rising kickstarter campaign in 2013. I used to have to copy each address into the USPS website, weigh the package, pay for the postage, then print the postage’s out on paper and tape it to the package. 1/2

The Isopod Colony Backerkit campaign had most of its items arrive earlier than expected. I’ve begun shipping out items for early fulfillment. Packaging and packing all of these goodies is stupidly satisfying. I hope that everyone enjoys their isopod goodies!

I appreciate that they’re low maintenance and don’t take up much space. It is definitely about the cumulative routine though. I also have 88 houseplants and the aquarium is a 165 gallon monstrosity.

I always loved animals, but sadly my energy levels are at capacity for doing a good job for them!

Like… I don’t need to know all of the dominant, recessive, and co-dominant ball python genes… but the research rabbit hole beckons!

Isopods (among other invertebrates and reptiles) are things I enjoy researching and imagining keeping. Alas, I know my daily creature maintenance plate is full with my cat, dog, and fish. It’s still fun to learn about.

I recently learned that Clip Studio can save a timelapse of your process, so I thought I’d try making some short videos. I admit that I’m still a creature of the 2000’s, and prefer still images with long blog posts and giant, threaded conversations. But this was still fun to do. #isopod #enamelpins
