the slow meandering death of twitter feels particularly sad given the state of the digital media industry. for a while, twitter felt like the great equalizer. if you played your cards right you could get your work in front of some of the nation's best editors & reporters, experience be damned
anyway kendall’s line about getting a tech valuation for a real estate proposition…spending the rest of the episode pumping up the projections…there was a twitter thread last week about who the biggest succession fans in tech were and i wonder what they thought of this joke!!

probably a bad time to get actual engagement on this, but: what are the fundamental pieces of writing about trust & safety and content moderation on the internet? looking for articles, essays, books, etc.
one reason other social media platforms prioritize video so much is that it creates so many signals for ad targeting. I’m not sure what bluesky’s business model is but if it’s not ad-based that could lead to a different structure for what kind of content is elevated
