OTOH you will fail accessibility if you are not aware of those 100 to 200 very simple rules. Because they are often not […]
100% when I see someone “Explaining WCAG in simple language” I find inaccurate or contradicting information within the first 30 seconds of looking at the resource. And I think that’s harmful.
07.08.2025 09:49 — 👍 3 🔁 2 💬 0 📌 0Also WCAG des nothing “to help” disabled people. These are requirements. They don’t “help”, they ensure that disabled people can use computers. (5/5)

I then bought a new router, to allow for easier migration. I didn’t want to migrate from DSL to fiber and Wifi at the same time.

Maybe it’s _really_ time to seriously look into Linux and non-Google Android?
I hate this, because macOS/iOS works so well for me. And it’s essential to the work I do. (The state of screen readers on Linux is just not there.)

Show it. Show an issue that an “AI” can test 100% accurately that a normal script can’t, and that is quicker identified than a human does. All “AI” accessibility people say this is happening, but it’s all talk and no receipts.

@WiteWulf Yeah. I have no other ideas. I run my bulbs through Home Assistant and it has been rock solid (with a powerful Zigbee connector). The Hue hub I used before was spotty occasionally, but nothing regular like you describe.

It feels like the bulbs lose connection to the hub. Did you set them up in-situ (where they are used)? I had problems connecting to the Zigbee hub and then moving bulbs to the place where I […]
Would it be bonkers to deactivate my account in the largest accessibility community?
Participation feels like a toss-up between give and take on good days and a time sink on bad days.
Plus it is all in a US closed system, so unavailable for people who have no access to the walled garden.
As an immune compromised person and an LC sufferer this is how I feel about people dismissing the whole thing.
