（感觉比较早的著作出现这种问题也正常，似乎十九世纪到二十世纪初这种不太能实验的学科的写作风格都是这样的，提出一个理论并且罗列事实（因为很多经典的人类学和民俗学著作也是这个思路）；而（个人印象，不知是否准确）学术写作的逻辑变得更科学大概要等到四五十年代并且是从哲学写作逐渐扩散来的（？）
不过确实很多更晚的书写成这样就比较不好了

even though it also takes time to decide which reading to take when it comes to a polysemous term, and it is also true finding the translation generally used in the buddhist tradition (not necessarily difficult but time-consuming)
