It was the challenge on the discord channel of @howardlyonart.bsky.social I think. One of my final paintings with water soluble oils, I switched to regular oils shortly after this portrait.

Shows woman with horns holding up her dress to the side with one hand. It is catching the light and has a red undertone. Her veil also catches the light and is a bright red. The background is fading into night with a setting sun behind some trees and bats flying far in the distance.

I did a study from the Dark Fae reference pack offered by @howardlyonart.bsky.social. I wanted to focus on the overall mood, lighting, and use of color. Ive been a little burnt out, so this was a fun and low pressure piece to do, and I really like the overall result!
