絵の練習をアナログでしてるのと、手元に消費しきれないインクがあるのでアナログで陰影の練習がてら色を塗れば良いのでは？と思いつきました。

“Were you smoking?” Ness asked, puzzled. Some kind of smoke was definitely lingering around the apartment. It wasn’t any smoke he knew was the thing. He hadn’t really thought Kaiser would be into weed. If this was weed smoke. He’d grown up in a pretty straight-laced part of Hamburg and he couldn’t have said with certainty what weed smelled like besides “bad, but also good”. This was sweet and floral. Kaiser continued to glare at him from over the back of the couch. “Take your shoes off,” he said and finally turned away. That’s right. They were doing the Japanese thing. Shoes stayed by the door. Ness’s were snowy anyway. He undid the laces on his boots and mopped up the melt water. His stocking feet skidded on the bare floor and he ended up swinging into their lonely armchair to peel off his socks. “You didn’t answer my question,” he mentioned. “No, Ness.” Kaiser didn’t even look up from his book to say it. “Then what’s that smell?” “The neighbors making something weird for dinner? I don’t know.” It was pretty late for supper, especially something heavy and perfumed. Ali sometimes ate meals with his family over Zoom at odd hours. Besides, this smelled decidedly burnt.

Ness could already tell he wasn’t getting anywhere with Kaiser about it that night. “Alright,” he said and leaned back, staring at the crystal and brass ceiling lamp that felt like it belonged anywhere besides the apartment block where Bastard München housed their not quite 18s with a barely there curfew and room checks that consisted of “yes, that is definitely a room”. After a moment and another sniff, he checked his phone. And sighed. “Why’s Mom calling me again?” “I’m reading,” Kaiser snapped. But Kaiser read Nietzsche on the team bus. Ness privately thought that was a little much, but he gave Kaiser space. One, it wasn’t worth arguing about after 10PM— he’d barely made that barely there curfew —and two, Kaiser’s body. He was littered with old wounds. Well, Ness was too, but his were from adventuring unsupervised. Kaiser’s, he could only imagine. Imagining hurt his heart. There that was two things getting him down. He resolved to text his mother for the time being and to not think about the constellation of cigarette burns Michael Kaiser wore under his heart. They looked like Auriga in the showers.
