Yea that might be the best thing. It feels like there are terms that I dont fully grasp musically

I know basic music theory already. It feels like there's a step 2 that I'm missing. Like, I know that almost any 'rule' given could be broken to still make good music but I just want to feel like it's finished. I can improve it later, I want to make sure I'm working from a good base

Ok I just learned about Dorian Scale and Parallel 5ths and this is what I mean. How do I find out all the little things to add certain feelings and stuff to music? If I want a song focused on "chilling in the sky" what musical techniques should I know about?

My main thing with music production right now is that I know there's more I need to do but I dont know a single thing to do.

I always hear about doing game jams being both fun, helpful to learn, and helpful to gain confidence.

What are the odds someone would be willing to essentially mentor me during a game jam? Tying myself to a team where I HAVE to deliver is too scary right now

How do I have old magic with few users?

I hate that my job doesnt recognize that when our auditor finds something as simple as "little dusty" that's not a bad thing that needs to be obsessed over next time. They said that cause their JOB is to find SOMETHING ANYTHING wrong. That means we did well if that's all they can say.

Someone please tell me it's ok to loop back on some ideas as a solo dev. After more thought, outside of atmosphere, there is no reason for my game to be abandoned overgrown city. I might as well stick with basic fantasy, maybe modern fantasy.

One piece doesnt count since I watch Dub but I can't wait for more episodes in a week or two.

Tried Tougen Anki but it felt too close to Blue Exorcist in the first episode

Kaiju is probably only low because I've kept up with the manga and some of the artistic decisions (mostly no 9's attack) are off to me.

Most games where you have a beast/monster/etc companion it is flavored as you tell you beast to use magic power

Do I start a discord rp server? Everyone that I look at has stuff I dont like. Most of all character submitting and approvals. We are adults, we should be able to handle balancing our own characters and discussing outcomes.

Next game idea if I ever make it through my first

Asymmetrical Co-op where half the game is cozy (e.g. city builder, business sim) while the other half is a dungeon crawler. Either 1 player is cozy and 1 is action, they can swap at will, or everyday they can pick a job.

Anybody know where to go to text roleplay? Ive seen some discord but they are either over restrictive or unreliable.
