The river runs wide between low banks from right to left. On the far bank bare trees stand with their roots in the water. A green field rises softly behind them, and a small arc of rainbow emerges just above the horizon seeming to support the clouds above in a sky of blue.

#ourworldiswonderful; our walk today took us between showers down to the river again, as the Forest of Dean was too muddy and the winds quite strong. The water was quite high and flowing fast, but the clouds broke and a tiny sliver of rainbow lit the sky on the horizon. Joyful.

So far, we've escaped flooding here, but I suspect that water is still on its way. Fortunately, we live well up the valley, but the houses close to the river are flooded probably twice a year at present.

For me, writing is an essential. I would feel incomplete without it. The urge to tell stories is so strong.

I'll be walking down to the River Wye this afternoon, where I expect it'll have overflowed its banks and maybe even flooded the lower part of the village.

For me, it's repetition of certain words. Fortunately, I'm a pantster, so I pick them up during the editing processes.
