My little foster dog, Cricket.

Now named Cricket, and having been with us here at Handsome Dan’s Rescue for a week, this emaciated dog is finally out of the woods. Literally and figurativelty.

It will be a long recovery, but Cricket is a fighter, as are we. She will make it. She will live!

Dan’s story, started in a clearing chained to a car axel deep in some Virginia woods. It ended with the Vicktory Dogs changing the landscape for survivors of dogfighting, allowing them to be evaluated as individuals. It was their success that has allowed happy endings for survivors of dogfighting.

Shelter Dog Angel is a we reaching high and low for his forever home.

He got to spend the weekend at Handsome Dan’s Rescue volunteer Johanna’s house. Buster did well with Johanna’s two small children, husband, and senior dog, Layla.

Get back at your ex and help a dog at Rhode Island SPCA this Valentine's Day! This morning on The Rhode Show we welcomed Stephanie Van Patten and Hugh Tucker from Rhode Island SPCA. They told us about their "Tearing Up My Heart" Fundraiser going on now through this Valentine's Day. You can submit something you don't like, like your ex, for a dog to tear through in an enrichment toy. They also brought in Kogi who is up for adoption and in need of a loving home!

My girl Kogi is a star!

I love this special girl. I have known her since birth and can vouch for her awesome-ness!

Kogi has a HDR grant for $500 in FREE training.

HUGE thanks to PAC and RISPCA for all they are doing for this special girl!

Foster dog Vermont did well at bus vet visit today. Besides having one full anal gland (🤢) her received a clean bill of health.
