I think from now on whenever anyone tries to ask me about politics, I wonβt tell them outright what I believe. But I will say this:
I have friends everywhere.
I donβt talk about the art that moves me too often, but I have to sing praise for this movie. It is absolutely perfect in everything it tries to do. Itβs a life-affirming, heartwarming story that inspires you to follow your joy, and to share it with others. Itβs my movie of the year.

I am currently making a video.
That feels good to say.
And they hated him for he spoke the truth
(I have been saying this since TFS)
You can be left wing or right wing, but the rich are flying the plane.
And I hear they pair nicely with a Bordeaux. π΄π·
Make no mistake, we will get things wrong, we will continue to trial and error as we always have done in the course of human history. And weβll find a way forward.
I empathize with those who are scared. We all are. But those who seek to know more will always prevail.
A core emotional tenet of it all feels based on this need for certainty. Everything has to be the way it was, when things were simpler, less complicated, less connected.
Ironically at the most beautifully uncertain time where the possibilities are endless, some want to drag us back to the darkness.
Modern conservatism feels like a primal rebuke of the overwhelming technological and social progress of the last 50 years.
Itβs like one final tantrum from those who refuse to adapt knowing they will die out, and afterwards the leaps forward will continue unabated.
Surely Americans can find someone to simply eat Trump. Thereβs always someone bigger isnβt there?
Jokes aside: what the fuck?
We need a master reset on western civilization. Misinformation has torn people apart. Democracy is being hijacked and sold to the highest bidder. Immigrants are being blamed for the fires politicians stoke.
This will end in violent bloodshed. And they will have the nerve to be surprised.
Your continued presence enriches everyone elseβs. Never forget that.
Happy birthday! π
Artists who follow me - I want to learn to draw. I have an interest in landscapes, architecture and vehicles, though I reckon I should also master character design too.
Any resources you recommend?
Partially, but also a lot of disbelief over how much of our collective gut feeling is ending up proven right
Itβs vindicating feeling like you were never crazy but also heartbreaking to see all of this

I think itβs genre fatigue thatβs the main issue not necessarily the βheroβ aspect of it. Since most are F2P the monetization of said games has become hyper aggressive
It used to be unique gameplay experiences keeping these separate, now itβs about skins and customization
Jesus Christ, glad youβre okay

Theyβve actively gotten more brazen to keep up with their aging demographic. As they become older, they need to come up with more sensationalist pieces to keep their readers energized, angry and (most importantly) voting.
By comparison, we donβt have a unifying authority to tell us how to feel
This Gen X cohort of politicians are so so close to getting it. One can only hope that theyβre listening to millennials, Gen Z and the hard data that supports what weβve all known for a very long time - immigration is only one part of the bigger problem with Western societies.
12.05.2025 10:25 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0If you keep your young people, offer them a better future with attractive salaries and infrastructure that actively works for its own people, youβll organically reduce the necessity and impact of immigration on your own country. Youβll celebrate newcomers easier rather than fear them.

Supposedly 9 million of the kingdomβs 68.35 million people are not working. Thatβs 13%, and whilst those who cannot work legally or medically should be cared for that percentage is way too high to be sustainable.
A more robust welfare system that cannot easily be abused - hello?
Immigration adds strain to an already strained system. Thatβs true enough. Turn the tap off, the glass stops overflowing. But the systems that work for the country need to be more robust.
Better NHS, better rail and transport, better roads and infrastructure are all badly needed
The UK has been reliant on immigration to replace the droves and droves of young people who leave for Canada, Australia and America in search of better opportunities. And yet politicians love to focus on immigrants for things being worse.
Whereβs the white paper to help retain your own?
As the UK raises the bar for legal immigration today, I canβt help but wonder if theyβre only doing this because itβs the easiest thing to do.
As an immigrant myself I do think it should be sustainable and based on merit, but the problems facing the country canβt all be solved by closing the border
But when the gap between what is said and what is known to be true becomes an abyss, there is only one course of action:
Speak up for your own truth. Itβs the only one that counts.
It is a dangerous thing to encourage individualism and exceptionalism over the health of the collective.
A collective functions well when its citizens are well informed and full of their own truths, but respectful of others and their truths.
They want to move forward together. As allies.
You ask.
You sit down and ask yourself how you feel.
You check in with yourself and think through the issues that concern you.
The more you do it, the faster it becomes. The faster it becomes, the more you can take on.
Before long, you become impenetrable.
When your head becomes full of noise, or if your head has no noise whatsoever, you become a prime target for bad actors. Sadly, both think theyβre immune but theyβre the most susceptible to the right messaging. The right truths.
The only truth that matters is your own. How do you find it?
The only way to stop it is to disconnect entirely. Itβs the only real way to stop it. To separate yourself from the those who want to tell you what to think and go your own way.
If it comes at a cost, so be it. Your own truth cannot be compromised by someone who just wants a vote at the ballot box.
