I was caregiver to a friend with terminal cancer. She was in agonizing pain; the visiting nurse refused pain meds because she thought suffering was good. I threatened to hang her by her ankles outside the (14th Fl) window. Friend got a shot but her sister screamed at me (the nurse quit). No regrets.
Current status: we're smuggling eggs in from Mexico now.

A few days after I adopted her, May 10, 2008. She's about 5 months old.
There was a version of this going around (unattributed, pls LMK) that had the wrong measurements and scale, but the image was so impactful I made my own corrected version. I think this really drives home the sheer massive, unstoppable scale of the freighter that hit the Key Bridge in Baltimore. 🖖
